Green Eagles’ Kaseba back in Choma ahead of Champions League debut
Green Eagles striker Tapson Kaseba is back at his base in Choma and has been training with his club ahead of the historic CAF Champions League match against Young Buffaloes of Eswatini.
Kaseba was rumored to have signed for Free State Stars of South Africa earlier in the month but was spotted by the ZamFoot Crew training with Zambia CAF Confederations Cup envoys in Choma.
The striker was the top scorer amongst indigenous Zambian playes in the league and his goals helped Eagles to their first ever continental spot. He however may not be in the matchday squad as he picked a knock in the preseason.
Eagles may also be without defense kingpin Boniface Sunzu who is also a doubt for the match due to injury.
The first ever CAF club competition game to be played in Southern Province will see the Zambia National Service sponsored Green Eagles lock horns with Young Buffaloes on Tuesday afternoon in a game that will kickoff at 15h00 at Choma’s Independence Stadium.
