Substitute Walter Bwalya inspires Nkana to victory over Kabwe Warriors

Nkana reclaimed the fourth position on the log after they beat visiting Kabwe Warriors 2 – 0 in a tightly contested match.
The visitors looked more ambitious and were looking threatening in the first half but were wasteful in front of goal.
With the Nkana fans becoming more impatient with their team, Bestone Chambeshi reacted by introducing Kelvin Mubanga and skipper Walter Bwalya respectively for Jacob Ngulube and Festus Mbewe respectively.
The introduction of the skipper seemed to help the team step up a gear and he led from the front when he headed home a Diego Apanane cross from the left to beat Scott Ngokene in the Warriors goal.
At the death of the game, it was Bwalya again who set up fellow substitute Mubanga when he cushioned a header for the midfielder who blasted home from the top of the box to seal a 2 – 0 for Nkana.
This was Nkana’s 4th win five matches and moves them to 52 points – leapfrogging Zanaco who have 50 points.
Kabwe Warriors have now not won in 7 games losing 3 times and stand in 8th position on 44 points.
