Statistical analysis of the first ever Women’s Charity shield
Sunset Stadium will host the first ever Women’s Charity Shield. This is a very promising fixture as both Green Buffaloes and Indeni Roses were crowned Champions in their leagues, that is, Lusaka and Copper belt respectively.
Both teams are giants in their own right as far as as Women football is concerned in the country and contribute a number of players when it comes to national duty.
Green Buffaloes played 24 games last season managing to win 23, drawing only one and no single loss in their books. They scored a total of 105 goals and conceded only 4 in the 24 games they played.
Melani Mulenga emerged as their top goal scorer with 22 goals to her name.
Indeni Roses on the other hand equally played 24 games, recording 22 victories, with 2 draws and no single loss as well. The Ndola based outfit managed to score an incredible 173 goals conceding only 7. Saiduna Mumba scooped the top goal scorer award with a whopping 33 strikes to her name.
Having considered the above statistics it is clear to that both teams are lethal in front of goal and have very solid defenses and an electric encounter is expected.
