Stanley Nshimbi rescues a point for Red Arrows against Lumwana
Lumwana Radiants will look to the away draw against Red Arrows at Nkoloma stadium as two points lost after they let a dominant first half display slip in the second half to allow the hosts to crawl back and snatch a 1 – 1 draw.
Radiants were in the lead within the opening quarter of the hour after Hosea Silwimba guided home across with his head which beat Danny Munyau.
Despite Arrows pressing for an equaliser with Stanley Nshimbi always looking dangerous going forward, Radiants looked like they had the Airmen where they wanted them as they defended well.
It was a good tactical display by the visitors who where soaking in the pressure but looking very dangerous when going forward led by U20 international Siame Musonda on the right flank.
After the restart both coaches made changes with Honour Janza bringing in Mundia Lubinda for Francis Kombe while Beston Chambeshi withdrew Simon Nkhata for Obed Masumbuko.
The changes worked better for Arrows as they started pouring forward in numbers searching for a goal and they were creating chances.
It looked like Lumwana would be able to deal with everything that was being thrown at them.
However, a sloppy defensive mistake in the 70th minute saw the defender give a weak back pass to Charles Mweemba who got his toe on the ball but it bounced off the legs of Nshimbi who was charging at him.
The ricocheted ball fell into the path of Nshimbi for him to role the ball into the open goal.
Arrows ended the game stronger but they were still ineffective in the final third.
