Sserunkuma misses a sitter in Buildcon draw against Warriors

Ugandan striker Geofrey Sserunkuma missed a golden opportunity to have a dream debut after he fluffed his chance in injury time as Kabwe Warriors and Buildcon played to a goalless draw to Godfrey Ucar Chitalu.

Stand in coach John Lungu should have been impressed with what he saw from the attacking duo Misheso and John Mukwata.

Had it not been for the brilliance of Warriors goalkeeper William Chibale, Mukwata could have grabbed a brace and an assist had Sserunkuma converted his chance.

Misheso’s direct play down the left flank was impressive as he wiped in crosses for Buildcon forwards that included Jonas Sakuwaha, Akakubelwa and Mukwata in the absence of the injured Maisha Chavda.

Warriors were the  better side in the first half with wingers Paul Simpemba and Jacob Phiri impressing.

The draw sees Buildcon move to 30 points on the log while Warriors are still in the drop zone on 17 points with 14 draws and a win.
