Songo packed the bus-Chambeshi
NKANA FC Coach Beston Chambeshi said UD Songo had packed the bus to tighten the nose for his side to penetrate the defence.
The Kitwe giants struggled to create chances against the Mozambique outfit in the 2nd leg of their 2018-19 Total CAF Champions league preliminary round clash – and only found the back of the net from the spot through Kelvin Mubanga Kapamba – going through to the first round 3-1 on aggregate.
Nkana will next face off with Tanzania powerhouse Simba SC who have in their books Zambian international Cletus Choma.
Asked about his views on their next game against Simba, Chambeshi said the game was 50/50. He added that the same way Nkana fans are talking about Simba was the same way Nkana was being talked about in Tanzania.
And Chambeshi said he was content with the way Chisamba Lungu fared when the 2012 AFCON winning star came inn as a second half substitute.
“They came here to defend and they didn’t want to concede a lot of goals. When we played against them in the 1st leg they played an open game and it was good for us because we were an attacking team. Today they packed the bus,” he said.
“Looking at Simba. I think they are also taking about Nkana. So it’s a 50/50 game. They also have Zambian players in their team and we also have Tanzanian players in our team. All we need is to prepare for them very well.
“Chisamba is a good player, entertaining player, very experienced player. All I can say he came inn and it was a good combination with other players. So let’s give him time.”
