Veteran Francis Kombe scored the quickest goal of the day for Arrows but the Airforce side conceded as well 2 minutes after the break to a Lameck Silwaba goal.
One small observationveith Boyds shots he puts a variety of spins on the ball. I have seen them move like arrows and on another occasion swerving with terminal velocity. He just needs that timing before he takes them.
I think it was the game against Italy? where he misfired 7+ chipolopolo cannons off target?, took the wind out of our attacks; weakest link on the team, had a horrible world cup. I hope this goal gives our talented midfielder more confidence in his work?
Actually we could have won the Italy match if the coach had not taken him out. Ground for argument.
And come on all the lads had a wonderful world cup. They just missed it. Am happy Patson is scoring again, i thought he did not show enough ambition, that’s where you can blame some of the wayward shooting because if he gets the ball when in the right position he will score. I think he was a bit tired. We have to encourage other sources of goals to carry a bigger threat though. The important thing is to create wave after wave of chances and the big players to take responsibility.
Kuku, I agree with Prince. Boyd was lacking in most of the matches he played. He rarely won the 50-50s and even when he did, his delivery of the ball was not great. He is physically a good player, but he was the weakest link in that midfield. Don’t know if it was because of the amount of area he had to cover, but his fundamentals were off. He could be polished since he’s under 20, but it will take a lot of work.
it was a beautiful short to watch. hopefully he is back with such kind of scoring goals. Good for him , Zanaco n future Zambia.
He can only get better. it looked to me like the under 20’s, as a group, were hitting the ball with so much power.
