On 20 November 2018, he got provisionally suspended by the CAF Disciplinary Board on suspicion of corruption following the way he handled the CAF Champions League match which Esperance won 4-2 in Semi-Finals second leg over Primero de Agosto.

Sikazwe, has refereed at the 2015 and 2017 African Cup of Nations. He also handled the 2017 AFCON final.
