Shonga, Mulenga combine to send Pirates to TKO finals
South Africa top side Orlando Pirate sailed to the finals of the Telkom Knock-out with a 2 – 1 win over rivals Kaizer Chiefs thanks to a late goal by Chipolopolo striker Justin Shonga.
Shonga was named in the starting line-up but his countryman Augustine Mulenga came off the bench to provide the assist for the inform former Nkwazi striker.
Pirates were the first to striker through Lorch in the 13th minute but Chiefs equalized 5 minutes later when Castro beat Mabogkwane in the Pirates goal from close range.
Mulenga was introduced in the 70th minute and 13th minutes later he did well to send a cross in from the right which found Shonga. The 22 year old attempted a spectacular bicycle kick but missed the ball only for him to pick himself quickly to control the ball and shoot past Khune in the Chiefs goal.
It has been a good month for Shonga who has scored twice in three games for his club.
