Midfielder Rodrick Kabwe is slowly finding his goal scorinig touch in the South African league and was over the weekend on target for Ajax Capetown when they went down 2 – 1 away against Maritzburg United.
Kabwe scored his team’s face saver in the 85th minute though there was controversy as to whether the goal should be awarded to fellow Zambian Aubrey Funga who had a late touch on the goal-ward ball.
He completed the entire game which was the 7th since signing for Ajax.
The 25 year old has now scored two goals in back to back matches after he scored in the draw against Free State Stars.
Funga on the other hand was introduced in the 57th minute.
The 26 year old has made 3 appearances.
In another PSL match, Kennedy Mweene was back in goal for Mamelodi Sundowns when they were beaten 2 – 1 by Kaizer Chiefs.
Mweene was in excellent form but was beaten first by Parker with a well placed close range shot before a he was beaten by a back pass from his own defender.
Lewis Macha continues to struggle for game time at Chiefs and he did not make the bench.
Davies Nkausu has played 10 times for Free State Stars this season but did not play this weekend while Collins Mbesuma is back in training after recovering from minor surgery but also missed the weekend action.
Elyashi ili not kamanga and kalu debates which are useless.
Well done Rodrick and this is a good return for a player that is not an out and out striker.
Great news
when the Afcon qualify starts the coach should call Rodrick kabwa to the national team because so far he has done very well for his new club
