Power Dynamos still in contention – Chilumba

Power Dynamos coach Tenant Chilumba says his team is still in contention to win the MTN FAZ Super League title despite his team being in third position ahead of the final round of games this Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the week 30 match against relegation threatened Nakambala Leopards, Chilumba said he has prepared his team to win the final game.

“We are ready we are still in contention, Chilumba said.

“We have been talking to the boys and psyching them, I think they are ready.”

With Power Dynamos hoping for other results in the Zanaco and Zesco game to go their way, Chilumba said he was not concerned with what was happening in the opponents camp but only looking at his team.

“We just have to collect maximum points and we are not looking at Zesco or Zanaco we are looking at our game, we just have to collect maximum points,” the Power Dynamos mentor said.

And log leaders Zanaco are also confident that they will be crowned champions at the end of the week 30 fixtures.

Zanaco coach Aggrey Chiyangi said his team is very confident going into the closing match of the league.

“We are very confident. we have prepared well despite knowing Red Arrows are fighting relegation,” Chiyangi said.

“On our part we have done our work we have prepared the players for this game. Our target is to lift the 2014 MTN FAZ championship,” he added.

Zanaco will welcome back to Rodrick Kabwe who had been away with the national team despite not playing a game in the two Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games.

Zesco on the other hand will welcome defence pillar Nyambe Mulenga who was missed as the Ndola side gave up leadership of the log after slumping to a 2 – 0 loss away at Nakambala.

Coach George Lwandamina will also welcome back skipper and league top scorer Jackson Mwanza who missed the game against Nakambala.

  4. F-15 are saying that you are satisfied with Munthali ‘ s mediocre performances at national team level….did u see Bronson playing today?? if u did u would have seen he is far better than Munthali

    • I agree that munthali need to be replaced. wat I mean is that u haven’t been around on zamfoot in terms of commenting. and u jst appear from nowhere with chifukushi in yo comments. calm down

  5. I also feel chama is far much better than “slow motion”Munthali though needs game time ,Chama, since he is just come from an injury.Chama did advertise himself because he is also aware that one position for a central defender is up for grabs come January.

  6. Congrats to Zesco.

    • Vunga-are you aware Zanaco need to win to win the League and play continental soccer where Nkana made US$239,000 far more than what Zesco shall get for the MTN League triumph. What would be the motive of Zanaco selling off the game? Maybe if you spoke about the Nkana 0 Red Arrows 2 as sister clubs!!!

  9. Thank you very much indeed we deserve to be champions, management is perfect but we are only lacking in team spirit, we need to add some new faces to bring competition in the team. The coach is good ! Power,Zanaco,Nkana ,Napsa there is always a next time you can do better than this , seal where there are loop holes in your teams, lets ZPL be more exciting to watch, marvel, entertaining and enjoyable to talk about. We are the champions, stand up for the champions for the champions stand up , stand up! Africa Zega is coming , we are coming for that cup, Ba Zesco please buy Sate Sate, Chama,Katebe,Mudenda, Patson Daka, and Sautu we are good to go

  10. @Soccerguru, Good observation. Janza should not hesitate especially that he too was at the stadium watching. If he doesn’t try out Chama then he has a problem.

  11. Malama is o.k it is just because the coach is using him at the wrong position,he is at his best when played as a defensive midfielder,People at times these players will just say they can play at any position,in this case Malama,in defence so that he just makes the line up hence it is up to the coach now to see at both training and actual match so in this instance the coach must now just know that Malama can not play as a right back and just have to make him as a reserve for Sinkala as in for Munthali ,he just have to be dropped from the team no two ways about it moreover for central defence we have Sunzu,Chama and Nyambe.

  12. CK11 and Mbesuma scored last night for Wits and Aces respectively.Good for national team because will make Sate Sate and friends to work hard in fear that those two might be recalled.

  13. Thanks brothers for your comforting words.
