Power Dynamos beef up technical bench
Power Dynamos Football Club have beefed up their technical bench with the inclusion of former Green Eagles assistant coach George Chilufya as the second assistant Coach. This has come after their second assistant Mwenya Chipepo left the club to join newly promoted side Prison Leopards.
Chilufya left Green Eagles and was unveiled earlier today at Arthur Davies Stadium by Club Chairman Mr Bhenkele Haachiwa.
Chilufya is well known for his role as an assistant and was part of of the Lumwana Radiants technical bench that brought the North Western based club to the elite league back in 2015.
Chilufya was sacked at Lumwana when they hired current Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi. Chilufya then moved on to join Eagles as one of three assistants to Chiyangi, the other two being Hopeson and Alex Namazaba.
At Eagles he played a big role in probably the best season Eagles have ever had (2018 ) as they qualified for the Barclays Cup and finished in the top four which meant they would play continental football for the very first time in their history.
The assistants role is one in which he is comfortable and the experience earned working under an experienced coach like Chiyangi plus the experience gained playing on the continent should add value to power who will be trying to get into continental football by the end of the season.
