Phiri not disappointed by Chota’s Red card
Lusaka Dynamos captain Clatous Chota Chama received a direct redcard during their encounter with Konkola Blades and this is after he just returned from his earlier Suspension after being sent off in a game against Red Arrows.
His coach Patrick Phiri is however not disappointed with the card and backed the influential play maker.
” He is the captain of the side and obviously he carries the burden of the team and that can make you emotional once in a while. He is a good player and a good person overall and I have no doubt that he will be back to deliver for his club,” he said.
Ten man Lusaka Dynamos came from behind to beat Konkola Blades in the dying minutes of the match Courtesy of a Chris Mugalu brace. A performance which attracted praise from their coach.
” Fantastic come back, I must congratulate these players for their mentality. We are now back in contention and we have now gained the necessary confidence,” he said
Konkola Blades who were the better side for most of the match opened the scoring through Brian Chewe in the 42nd minute but failed to contain the pressure and conceeded two late goals to drop all three points.
A disappointed Coach Lewingtone Mujemba blamed the loss on the inexperience of his players.
“Well lack of experience cost us, what can I say?. The players lack maturity, They started defending a one nil scoreline against ten men instead of finishing off the match. My players lacked character and we lost three points we really needed so my players need to make up for this in our next game against power Dynamos,” he said.
