Patson on target, Mwepu continues in central defence

Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka came off the bench to score in injury time in Red Bull Salzburg’s 5-2 over Turkish side Rizespor on Wednesday night.

And midfielder Enock ‘Computer’ Mwepu featured again in central defence as he continued his education in a different role.

Mwepu, who has being compared to four times African Player of the Year Yaya Toure seems like he will get more game in the team because of his versatility.

He is expected to make the match day squad on Sunday as the league starts.

For Patson, there are some whispers that the CAF 2017 Best Young Player of the Year might go out on loan but maybe the goal on Wednesday might change things.

The duo have been fast tracked into the Zambia national team and seen by many as Zambia’s symbol of present and future.

New Chipolopolo Boys coach Sven Vandenbroeck is expected to call the former Kafue Celtic starlets for the Cameroon 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Namibia and Guinea Bissau.

  1. Mwepu must concentrate so that he can mature into a utility player instead of just playing on one position.Good luck to both guys.
