Patson Daka nets brace in Salzburg friendly
Zambia’s export to Austria Patson Daka on Friday evening scored twice to help his club Red Bull Salzburg to an 8 – 2 win over lower regional league side USK Anif.
The Salzburg squad got back to work six days ago after the winter break and they looked impressive in their first match. Salzburg played two teams in the two halves of the game with Enock Mwepu and Daka starting the game in what was a 3-5-2 formation.
The 20 year old Zambian striker opened the scores in the 14th minute when he fired home benefiting from a good Junuzovic pass.
The Chipolopolo striker headed home his second of the game in the 36th minute which was the fourth goal for the team and there was still time for Sommer to score a fifth in the 44th minute to send the team 5 – 1 ahead at half time.
Salzburg have been invincible in the 2018/19 season going unbeaten in all competitions but it has not been an easy second season in the Budesliga for Daka as he has only made 7 appearances in the league with one goal.
However, his season statistics are already better this season compared to last season in terms of number appearance in both league and Europe.
