It is very painful to miss Nigeria game – Brian Mwila

Injured Chipolopolo striker Brian Mwila says it is very painful and disturbing to miss the ‘must win’ World Cup qualifier against Nigeria to be played next week.

Mwila who confirmed that he will not travel with the national team to Uyo stated that he is still suffering from the injury he sustained in the game Algeria and he is not fit to play Saturday despite having started training.

“I am in the team but I am not going with team [to Nigeria] because of the same injury, it’s good that I have started training but I am not fit for the game.  I am expected to start playing games in four weeks time,” the prolific striker said.

In a message for his team mates, the Platinum Stars striker urged his colleagues to give it all for the Zambia.

“It is very painful and disturbing [to miss the game] but everything happens for a reason. I am not going to be with you but we will be together in spirit,” he added.

The former Green Buffaloes hitman helped Zambia to a 3 – 1 win over Algeria in a game he scored a brace but was unfortunately injured as he banged in his second of the match.

The 23 year old has a phenomenal record that has seen him score 7 times in 8 appearances for Zambia this year.

We are losing to Nigeria because of the coach having personal issues with players.Even if i am not a coach, honestly can you compare Kalaba or Fwayo to Alex N’gonga.Gentlemen, let us be serious. We are failing because of the coach.

@tgrace, don, sibs and nazo…Guys…guys…guys, easy up. Whats the problem? Yes you may say am blind can’t see what the couch is doing. No! Am OK. But you need to understand something here: look, Brian mwila plays number 9. So, shud he pick kalaba or fwayo who play 10. Its like having a team full of strikers only play as defenders, mid fielders and strikers at the same time. Look, fwayo we have fashion. Kalaba we have pwepu. Mbesuma we have patson daka. What else do we need? Ngonga is a substitute period! Don’t bring down the couch and the teams spirit. Let them concentrate. Its a do or die match remember? Let’s talk after the game. There is nothing you and I can do this time. He has already made a final list. Let’s just boost their morao and spirit. Nigeria will be gunned down. Chipolopolo, the copper bullets all the way!!!

Get well soon Mr Mr. Mwila. You deserve respect and support. You got injured whilst on national duty. Your efforts should go unnoticed. Hope the powers that be are mindful of that fact
