Oswald Mutapa leaves National Assembly

National Assembly coach Oswald Mutapa has left the club by mutual consent.

Mutapa guided Assembly back to the MTN Super League and despite just picking up three victories from the 15 played so far, his side have caught the eye with their attacking football.

There’s speculation that the Zambia Police Officer left over the player’s winning bonuses.

“The players are owed a lot of money from last season. There have been meetings with the people in charge but nothing was been done,” a source told the ZamFoot Crew.

“The coach has been holding the team together. There has been times when players did threaten to protest but the coach would come in and calm down the situation.

Assembly are placed 15th on the log.

This weekend, the parliamentarians will be in Chingola against Nchanga Rangers, another side who are also failing to pay their players.

Lusaka Dynamos is the other club with financial issues.

Does Lusaka Dynamos really need those expatriates? I do not see much value they add to the team compared to the locals.
I even have the same issues with some players at ZESCO.
