Nyirenda receives a standing ovation at Sunset Stadium

Zambia National team head coach Wedson Nyirenda arrived at Sunset Stadium to a standing ovation during a rescheduled fixture between Sensational Zanaco and Power Dynamos.

Nyirenda guided Chipolopolo two wins over Algeria in within a space of four days to revive Zambia’s chances of qualifying to Russia 2018 FIFA world cup.

FC Liefering striker Patson Daka scored the only goal of the game yesterday as Zambia completed their double over Algeria in spectacular fashion.

Zambia now have 7 points from 4 games just three short of group B leaders Nigeria. Chipolopolo’s next game is on 9th October against Nigeria away in Uyo.

  2. Tecumseh says:

Thats right don’t rest till you find that missing link in defense and find the right team for remaining games

  3. Amandla says:

Saved by players we had ignored from Beston camp!

  4. Don says:

Edward Chilufya is another young talent that can bring depth to the Chipolopolo….give him a shot in your provisional squad.

  5. Asamoah says:

Please what is the mathematical chance of Zambia’s qualifications? All I see is. a draw for Nigeria against Zambia and Zambia failing to beat Cameroon 5-6nil may hand the worldcup ticket to Nigeria due to Zambia’s lesser goal aggregate.Do you see Nigeria not picking at least a point in her remaining 2 games?

    • Grace of God says:

Zambia needs to beat Nigeria in Uyo, on 7 October, 2017, and beat Cameroon in Zambia on 6 November, 2017. When this happens and Nigeria beats Algeria in Algeria, they will both be at 13 points. It is at this point that the Mathematics of goal difference will kick in. For now, Chipolopolo (Copper Bullets) need to focus on gunning down the Super Eagles in their own back yard before aiming at shooting the Indomitable Lions of Yaonde. Their work is cut out and planning begins now.

    • Grace of God you are nothing but a waste of sperm. We came to your house and raped your team from behind and yet you couldn’t gun us down, here you are ranting that you coming to gun us down in Uyo just because you managed to beat Algeria, the most useless team in group B. Keeping tinkling yourself and come October 7th your the Eagles will send your Chipolopolos to Oblivion and send 85% of Zambian to coma.

      • Paschal says:

My brother please dont talk like that. Grace of God didnt insult anybody. It has not come to that. Lets respect one another. I am a Nigerian too and I equally want Nigeria to win but talking like this i not good for our African brotherhood. Thanks.

      • Prince says:

Really? A waste of sperm…taken from behind..u ought to be ashamed of yourself…

  6. Muchinga says:

I think, we need a replacement for Fackson Kapumbu. The technical beach should also teach Augustine Mulenga how to shoot the ball. The player we need more is Edward Chilufya for the remaining two wcq games and afcon games. Charles Musonda jr. said he wants to play for senior national team, if it is true please consider him.

  7. MULENGA PULU says:

GOOD JOB WADA WADA keep it up

  8. MULENGA PULU says:

BEATING NIGERIA IN NIGERIA IS AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK.In the 30years I have suppotted chipolopolo I have never seen it happen thats why Iam not very optimistic, but so was beating Algeria in A lgeria

  9. MULENGA PULU says:

NIGERIA WONT BEAT ALGERIA IN ALGERIA:Once Zambia Beats Nigeria in Nigeria we will be favorites to qualify to Russia 2018,the real challenge is beating Nigeria in Nigeria close to impossible but Nigeria wont beat Algeria no they wont

  10. Benny says:
