Numba walking on thin ice as Zanaco target TC
Super League side Sensational Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba’s stay at the helm is under serious threat, The ZamFoot crew understands.
The executive committee of the 2016 Super League champions are apparently not happy especially after the Numba coached side gave up a two nil lead to draw two all against Red Arrows.
The questions worsened after division one zone one side Young Green Buffaloes clearly out played and eliminated the bankers from the 2018 Barclays Cup competition.
According to ZamFoot crew sources Zanaco are chasing after the signature of Kabwe Warriors boss Tenant Chilumba.
Chilumba had a good start to the season and his team was fighting for continental football but the ‘Curse of TC’ struck. This is a belief that Chilumba does well in the first half of the season but fails in the second half.
At Power dynamos it was the same case and even last season at NAPSA Stars. The pensioners were a team to beat at the start of the season but then went 6 games without a win and the former Chipolopolo player was sacked.
Chilumba was not however Zanaco’s first choice as they wanted Power dynamos boss Kevin Kaindu who is a former bankers player himself but he turned down the offer.
