Numba dissapointed with result but happy with performance
Sensational Zanaco boss Numba Mumamba was left dissapointed after his side failed to beat Green Buffaloes at Sunset Stadium on Saturday in a week 33 MTN/FAZ Super League encounter especially that they lost the first round encounter.
Despite wanting the three points badly Numba was happy to have at least picked up a point.
” In terms of play we were not dissapointed with the team. Wse are just dissapointed that we did not pick maximum points especially that we were playing at home. When we played Buffaloes in the reverse fixture they beat us so we expected our team to do the same so that we share the points but unfortunately we did not do that however a barren draw is not that bad,” he said.
The bankers next travel to Mazabuka to face the Sugar boys a match the bankers boss said they be aiming to get maximum points.
“We are playing Nakambala in Mazabuka on Wednesday. I think we just have to go back in training and prepare the team so that we can pick up maximum points,” he said.
Zanaco and Buffaloes played out to a barren draw despite both scoring a goal which were both ruled out for off-side.
Numba was forced to make two first half substitutions due to injuries. Winger Charles Zulu who has been in fine form scoring three goals in the two games before Saturday’s encounter was withdrawn for Enerst Mbewe after he picked up an injury.
Numba was also forced to withdraw Congolese defender Diddy Kitumbo Mpiana who was replaced by Jimmy Nakena.
Buffaloes have dropp to third place after Nkana leapfrogged them following theit draw with Zanaco who remain stuck on fifth place.
