Nshimbi returns to Chipolopolo fold after impressing against Zanaco
Red Arrows speedy winger Stanley Nshimbi has made a return to the national team fold after an almost four year long absence.
Nshimbi looked his old self the entire 90 minutes and was instrumental in helping a 10 man Red Arrows hold champions Zanaco to a 1 – 1 draw away from home.
It was no surprise that the former Zambia U17 captain was found working out with the local Chipolopolo players at Sunset Stadium on Monday morning despite not having been part of the initial list.
Nshimbi was last part of the national team fold under Herve Renard in 2013 just before the Frenchman quit the Chipolopolo job.
“We need to look at as many players as possible; we have to keep track of our players how they are faring. They are doing well at their clubs but we need to check on them here so that they are up to date with our philosophy, ” Nyirenda told Fazfootball.com
The Chipolopolo are currently in camp and will break off on Wednesday.
