No promises but we will do our best

The Chipolopolo Boys Captain Kabaso Chongo says the team will do their best to beat Zimbabwe in their Group H Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the National Heroes Stadium.

The TP Mazembe defender says the morale in camp is high ahead of tomorrow’s Zambezi derby.

“The team spirit is very high in camp so is the morale. We will try our best by all means to win this game by working as a unit,” he said.

The Zambian skipper described the Huge scoreline loss to Algeria as a bad game that won’t affect the approach over the Zimbabwe Game.

“We will do our best tomorrow, In Algeria, we did not do well and we play Zimbabwe tomorrow. I don’t want to promise anything but we will do our best tomorrow,” he said.

Zambia has faced Zimbabwe four times in the AFCON Qualifiers winning twice and drawing twice.

The 2012 AFCON Champions are yet to register a defeat against Zimbabwe in the AFCON Qualifiers and tomorrow’s game is another chance to try and continue their dominance against Zimbabwe.

Zambia plays Zimbabwe tomorrow at 18:00hrs at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka

I wouldn’t be talking too much too if I were you, after that disgracfull performance will definatley affect us if calculations was to come down to goal difference or goals against to qualify we are doomed. we need to stop riding on our high horses from afcon 2012 because its now clear for everyone to see we were lucky to win that one, sometimes luck happens in football depending on the teams you face or are grouped with along the way. We are not a powerhouse for winning 1 afcon almost 8 years ago so we should stop thinking anyone fears us because they don’t, we are now a laughing stock

With sunzu gone our defence is not something to write about. O see Zimbabwe putting the final bullet in the squad,I predict 2 nill in favour of Zimbabwe, let’s not forget there is no small boys in African football anymore so you can underestimate at your own cost, today Algeria only beat Botswana 1nil, and Ghana beat low side soa tome principal 1 nil and were lucky to if not for penalty given, Zambia be careful and approach the game with caution
