No Nyirenda, Macha reunion as the former Kaizer Chiefs striker is released again.

Former Zambia National Team coach Wedson Nyirenda’s reunion with striker Lewis Macha has been cut short after the Club announced the release of the later.

The Limpopo-based outfit recently appointed Nyirenda as the club’s new head coach following the dismissal of MacDonald Makhubedu towards the end of the season but he will not get to work with his former player at UD Songo in Mozambique.

The Club confirmed the release of Macha and four others on their official twitter page on Thurday, June 14th. The former Kaizer Chiefs striker played just nine games for Baroka scoring just two goals.

Bakgaga just avoided another PSL relegation play-off dogfight as they narrowly escaped and it seems that the club owners are not wasting any time in relieving themselves of deadwood as they look to avoid a repeat of the 2017/18 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign.

Macha joined Baroka barely eleven months ago after the then Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela deemed him as surplus after a poor first season in the PSL.

  1. That’s why I dislike ABSA,.our players should stick to their clubs and avoid rushing to south Africa. He should come back and join kit we united.I don’t see much difference between ZSL and ABSA.Infact our league is becoming more entertaining. I have also head that ,other clubs in ABS want, kambole, chama, mbombo, and kelvin kampamba. My advice to these players is,do not go to South Africa.

  2. But I don’t understand African clubs because I’ve seen the same thing in Zed clubs: you bring in a new coach, but you’re selling players without the coach making the decision. So who’s team is it then?

  3. Let’s be honest and call a spade a spade. Lewis Macha has failed twice in the PSL. He didn’t work hard enough to earn starting place. For a foreigner he needs to be better than the local players and he didn’t show that..

    • I also get surprised when people blame the league and yet the players are busy failing to step up. As a foreigner you really need to show something special otherwise an average local player will definitely take your spot.

Lets build our players to be mentality strong enough to compete in a league of this size rather than be like a mother of a thief who vilifies the police for arresting her thieving son.

  4. Multichoice is stealing money from its subscribers. The picture quality on most of its channels is very bad. This can be seen on GO TV especially on sports channels. The pictures keeps on sticking and skipping continuously. It is almost impossible to watch soccer matches on these channels now that the world has already began.Sometimes it is blurred. This has been going on for over three weeks now without any apology from them. Reports have been made by a number of clients (me inclusive)at the two branches in Kitwe. The response has been that there is a problem with their satellites. But having this problem for a month is way too much. This is not only a raw deal but day light robbery.
