Nkwazi, Buffaloes in Barclays Cup final
Green Buffaloes and Nkwazi will meet in the final of 2015 Barclays Cup after they edged Zesco United and Zanaco respectively.
With Zesco missing up to seven players for different reasons including four on international duty, the army side took advantage and were sent to the finals via a Sebastian Mwansa lone goal.
Mwansa was the eventual man of the match.
In the late kickoff, Nkwazi edged Zanaco 5 – 4 on post match penalties after the two teams played out to a 1 – 1 draw in regulation time.
Zanaco opened the scores before Nkwazi leveled though Musunga Chipukuma.
Both teams had chances to win the game with Zanaco creating more in the later stages but they lacked the cutting edge to kill off the game.
Once the game went to penalties Nkwazi triumphed after Henry Banda saw his spot kick canon off the upright.
Moses Phiri was the official man of the match.
