Nkana’s dream of a thirteenth title still on
Twelve time super league champions Nkana are still in the title chance despite their chances being very slim after Zesco United drew in Choma against stubborn Green Eagles. Kalampa on Saturday came from a goal down to beat Mufurila wanderers two goals to one to keep their hopes of a thirteenth title alive.
Ronald Kampamba and Donashano Malama scored the two goals for Nkana With Guily Manziba putting wanderers in the lead early on.
They host relegated Konkola Blades at Nkana Stadium in their final fixture, A match many expect them to win with easy as Konkola have nothing to fight for as a club but players still want winning bonuses, Hence Nkana will have to sweat for the three points.
The only problem for Nkana is that they need Zesco United, Zanaco and Green Buffaloes to lose their final match day fixtures for them to win the league and score atleast two goals.
Zesco United can win the league with loss provided the other three team lose also and a draw provided the other teams do not also record wins. The race is till and for Nkana fans they will praying for a miracle to help them clinch an unprecedented 13th title.
