Nkana clobber Zanaco as Warriors lose to Forest

Kitwe giants Nkana FC made clear their intent to play continental football when they clobbered 2017 runners up Zanaco 4 – 2 away from home.

It was an exciting encounter at Sunset Stadium which was characterised by goalkeeping errors that gifted the fans six goals.

Harrison Chisala who has been excellent attacking from midfield in recent games opened the scores in the 21st minute.

The former U20 international benefited from a Jacob Ngulube defense splitting through ball before he went round Toaster Nsabata who had come off his line to shoot calmly for the goal.

Another U20 class of 2017 player Boyd Musonda was on the mark 6 minutes later when he volleyed home for Zanaco from inside the box after Nkana failed to convincingly clear an Ernest Mbewe close.

Nkana were gifted another goal this time when Nsabata came off the line to collect a long ball but was beaten to it by Walter Bwalya.

Bwalya’s effort to find Festus Mbewe was poor but Didi Kitumbo still headed the ball against his defense partner for the ball to fall kindly for Mbewe who shot into an empty goal in the 41st minute.

It was Mapulanga’s turn in the Nkana goal to make an error after the restart as he failed to hold on to a Charles Zulu cross with Rogers Kola taking full advantage to level the scores.

Walter restored Nkana’s lead in the 59th minute when he beat Nsabata who was rushing off his line before substitute Idriss Mbombo put the game to bed from the spot with 12 minutes to play.

The win leaves Nkana in 3rd position on 45 points, 8 behind Green Buffaloes who are in second position.

Zanaco are 6th with 44 points after back to back losses.

Elsewhere, Forest Rangers clobbered Kabwe Warriors 3 – 0 in Kabwe to leave Warriors with no win in four games

  1. FOOTBALL ⚽ IS A BUSINESS OF RESULTS says:

THE BANKERS KINDLY REPLACE ” ZIYO TEMBO ” OR FORGET ABOUT CONTINENTAL FOOTBALL ⚽ AND LEAGUE TITLE.
I DON’T SEE ANY OF THOSE DEFENDERS TO CONVINCING.

ALSO SELL YOUR MOST USELESS GOAL KEEPER “TOASTER NSABATA ” IF ANYTHING INVESTIGATE AND INTERROGATE HIM IF HE HAD SOLD THE GAME TO NKANA FC, BECAUSE WE KNOW HIM TO BE A GREAT QUALITY KEEPER!

  2. General says:
