Nchanga declares Shamujompa AWOL

The Chingola hailing outfit, Nchanga Rangers have refused to throw up the white towel in the battle of “who is the right owner” of Zambian international Isaac Shamujompa, hence declared him AWOL.

In a circular released to the press, the Pesident of the club Yoram Kapai issued a statement, declaring Shamujompa AWOL–as he maintained that Nchanga rangers owns him.

While expressing his disappointment at Inter sport Academy administration, Kapaya stated that, the club will investigate the matter, so as to find out who facilitated Shamujopa’s move to Power Dynamos.

“Nchanga rangers football club wishes to air it’s views concerning the social media trending concerning our player Isaac Shamujompa. As a club we want to categorically state that Shamujopa is our player, whom we have declared AWOL.

“I wish to inform beloved sponsors, our supporters and fans to remain calm as we investigate who facilitated the move our player to Power Dynamos. This kind of football administration which is being exhibited by inter-sport academy is regrettable and un sportmanship,” he said.

Kapaya further said, Nchanga have investment so much in Shamujopa to become the player, he is today and that his actions can not be tolerated.

“As a club we heavily invested in Shamujompa to reach up to the level where he is today as a national team player. We will not tolerate such kind of gross indiscipline that brings the name of the club into disrepute,” he added.

  1. From the look of things Nchanga Rangers have lost the player. I do not have full details of the deal but it’s clear that the player is now at Arthur Davis ofcourse we are not promoting illegality but i hope both Nchanga & Power can sit and resolve this if at all there are any issues in the best interest of the game & everyone involved

    • FAZ is not working.
Football Administration….. Is misunderstood. Now players are losing careers at a point they get in the game.
Trading players in bars is not doing any good to players.
Also players show some appreciation, look at Fwayo, he was finished, Power Dynamos picked him up.. And last week Fwayo back to Komboni again.

  2. Intersport academy are the owners of Isaac who was merely loaned to Nchanga. The details of the loan deal are not well known. The faster the issue is resolved, the better for the player’s career and interest.

  3. Am thinking there should be a loan agreement between Nchanga and Inter sport but what the contents of that agreement is what needs to be analysed. I see nchanga loosing out on this one.

  4. Guys with with information and those following local soccer how long has Shamujompa been at Rangers? Rangers are saying they have invested a lot into the player? Really!

  5. FAZ needs to bring order to the way transfers are handled, Nostra, you are right, players also need to show respect to clubs for reviving their careers. There is nor harm in saying thank you but i need to move on. Clubs also need to show their compatriots some respect. Would Power be happy with Lusaka Dynamos lured Fwayo. Should Power also follow suit and start playing the same game. why cant they just come to the negotiating table with clean hands.

  6. We Will Do Our Homework On Zambia-Baxter

Bafana Bafana Head Coach Stuart Baxter’s side will be gearing up to face Zambia in the third round of the Chan qualifiers.
The South African national team secured a 3-0 aggregate win over Botswana to advance to the next stage of the qualifying round.
Bafana will be welcoming Zambia on the weekend of August, 11, 12 and 13, before travelling to Zambia that following weekend for the return leg.
“It’s important not to concede at home but it’s vitally important that you get a goal. So we have to be a constant threat whilst we defend solidly enough and manfully enough to nullify them. We got a little bit of information on them in the game when we came back from Nigeria – they are a mobile team, physically strong,” Baxter told the South African Football Association’s official website.
“We will do our homework and make sure the squad is prepared properly,” he added.
