My players are not fatigued, We just lost- Numba
Zanaco head coach Numba refused claims of fatigue as the reason for his teams loss at the hands of Chicken Inn. Mumamba siad he has been resting players in each game and that fatigue was not an excuse for his teams two one loss at Luveve Stadium this afternoon.
” There is no fatigue because we have been resting players in each. Today we rested five players who played against Platinum, We just lost and we have to accept that fact,” Numba said.
The Zambia U20 National team gaffer was full of praise for the Joey Antipas drilled side. Numba believes 2015 Zimbabwe Castle Premier league Champions are a better side than the current Champions, FC Platinum.
“They are a very good team, They are a formidable side. I told my boys that this is a better team than FC Platinum. They have good pace upfront and thats how we conceeded the second goal because of the pressure that their strikers put on the defence and we made a mistake that allowed them to score the winning goal,” he said.
“Zimbabwe is nation that has always given us good training games both at national and Club level. it’s a country with quality players who have alot of speed and determination and thats why we come here often so that theh can give us good competition to prepare well for the season,” he added.
Chicken Inn handed Zanaco their first defeat this pre-season. Antipas’s lads came from a goal down to beat the Super league runners by two goals to one at Luveve Stadium in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
