Chipolopolo midfielder Enock Mwepu made his first start for Redbull Salzburg as they took on Admiral Wacker at the 2800 capacity BSFZ-Arena (Maria Enzersdorf).
Mwepu took less than five minutes to announce himself as he set up 25 year old Norwegian striker Fredrik Gulbradsen for the opening goal of the match. With the lead Salzburg took charge of the game and Hanes Wolf made it two in the 22nd minute assisted by Schlager.
19 year old Patrick Schmidt pulled one back for the Wacker in the 33rd minute but three minutes later the lead was restored as Mwepu scored a brilliant volley after getting on the end of a Moanes Dabbur chipped pass.
The match went to the break with Salzburg leading three one. After the restart Salzburg run riot first it was Gulbradsen getting his brace in the 57th minute.
Moanes Dabbur then got his brace before Schmidt could get a second for wacker. Salzburg won the match by six goals to two stay top of the table and eight points
clear of second placed Sturm Graz.
Good news indeed. This boy has a lot of potential.
Power sonny…well done and keep on working hard…
seniors or reserve?
He has the talent; he has the body and if he can match these with discipline and determination then he has a long, long way to go and a very fat bank account to show for it.
well done mwepu!
In Zambia he is having to drop too deep to have an impact on the front line. He has to be complemented by a workaholic who wants to tag along both in both the defensive shape and attack.
Don’t give up mwaiche, show them that we can do it Ba z
