Mwepu hits a brace in Liefering win

Zambia Under-20 star midfielder Enock Mwepu helped his club to a 3-2 win in the Austrian second tier league game.

Liefering came from a goal down to win 3-2 with the former Kafue Celtic midfielder hitting in double in the 51st and 54th minute to make 2-1 before the Red Bull Salzburg feeder club went on to the win the match.

Mwepu started on the right side of a diamond midfield with Patson Daka alongside.

Computer as he is known has now scored 2 goals in 3 league matches while Daka is yet to register to find the back of the net.

Daka has also played 3 games.

Bola na Lesa hits Austria

On Thursday, Emmanuel Banda was unused substitute in KV Oostende 0-0 draw against French Ligue 1 power house Olympique Marseille in the return leg of the Europa League.

Banda has so far made cameo appearances for the Belgium side. He has played in 2 games coming on as a late substitute.

With South African Andile Jali and Zimbabwe’s Knowledge Musona at Oostende, Banda is adapting well.

On Sunday, Oostende is away to Anderleicht.

Elsewhere in Eastern Europe, Lubambo Musonda, Chisamba Lungu and Stopilla Sunzu will be in action on Sunday while Fashion Sakala will hope for starting berth later on Saturday.

In Israel, Emmanuel Mbola will be involved in a Cup game on Tuesday
