Zambian midfield dynamo Enock Mwepu has advised football players in the local league to work hard.

The 20 year old midfielder is being viewed as one of the country’s symbol of present and future after a string of impressive performances for both club and country in 2017.

A career which has seen him from the mining town of Chambishi to Salzburg, the 6 ft 1 box to box midfielder is better placed to advise the locals lads.

“To all the football players back home I just want to say, It’s not about how badly you want it, it’s about how hard you’re willing to work for it,” the boy they call Computer posted on his Facebook wall.

“(If you) work hard. You will get to the level you want to be at,” he added.

The Red Bull Salzburg midfielder has three caps. He came off the bench against Algeria to score in the 3-1 at Heroes Stadium in a World Cup qualifier.

He went on to win further caps against Algeria and Nigeria.

Mwepu featured in all the matches as the Zambia’s Dream Team claimed the CAF Under-20 African Cup of Nations on home soil.

  1. I support your analysis young man. Most of our players are short of focus. Concentrating on local leagues must be coupled with working hard for one to penetrate major leagues. Spot on Mwepu and continue to be a shinning mirror for Mother Zambia.
