  1. @ Crespo….Cossafa is not the be all and end all! We r building a team for the Afcon U20. Cohesion is what we need in this team. In fact Kalunga in Portugal is also eligible for under 20.

    • @ slim… You are on point my brother. Remember Numba called 45 players before coming up with the final squad, I thought he should have recalled one from those he dropped.

  2. The coach is always wrong or right. It depends on what your view is as a commentator. In my view he is right. He is because he is at the helm and he must take responsibility of any results the team will get. Fans have a choice to stand with him or not. They can also choose to remain neutral.

Besides, whatever action/choice of players he makes he will be communicating something to us. In choosing “the tiger” he is saying something which many could read and understand well and likewise many will not. What does this imply? He is always right or wrong. In other words you may say he is neither wrong nor right. Still more, in going for the tiger he maybe looking for experience….. Experience to lead the team that is mainly novices at this level. But that is what someone, not the coach, is thinking. What if he is saying Zambia does not have a player of the quality that could fit well in this team for the role the tiger plays? Football playing is a teamwork. You do not bring in just anyone to complete the team list. “Fitting in well” is key to being part of the team. Imagine yourself having a breakdown on the highway due to a timing belt or anything? Will you solve the problem by fitting in any belt? Certainly no. Functionality will be the target. Let the coach pick the players. The best we can do is to ask him why he preferred so and so over the other one.

  3. Edward tiger chilufya is eligiable to play in next year qualifiers. Therefore its important for him to play this tournament with his collegues.. This tournament is where cohension should be built… Some of the boys who were roped in are too small to play against the overaged players from the west.. Kings kangwa the young brother of evans should also be given the opportunity.. The former happy hearts player is based in isreal

  4. I remember Zamfoot mentioned in one article that most players who where dropped was due to the information submitted to Faz which did not tally with the actual info on the records. In short the technical bench avoided the disqualification which embarrassed our country in terms of age chiting . All the best to the team.

  5. The move is good. Chilufya is only 18 years and has gained a lot of experience. He will therefore, motivate his peers to fight and conquere for mother Zambia. Experience matters as we strive to make a strong senior team we need those with experience to encourage the young ones in the beautiful game of football.

  6. Actually Edward is only 17, and was the youngest in that 2017 class. He is eligible to represent the country even in the next afcon

  7. Edward chilufya is just 18yrs old. He is eligible to play. Actually, he needs the game time. Even at that level. If we want him to be the slippery forward he promises to be, then let the boy develop. Let him combine with the rest of the talent we are presently manufacturing in the country. I here we have some fantastic talent in these new youngsters as well.Especially mid fielders and wingers. Just like the last squad we had. If that proves to be true, we might build a rare generation of a zambian squad in the next 3 years to come. I think the future is very exciting.
