Moses Phiri: It feels good to be back on the score sheet

Academica Viseu striker Moses Phiri finally got off the mark in the 2016 / 2017 season when he netted the opener in his Potuguese club’s 2 – 1 home win over Porto II.

Phiri who was making his 8th appearance in the 23 week old league opened the scores in the 52 minute of the game.

Viseu went on to lead 2 – 0 before Porto pulled one back in the 78th minute.

He expressed his delight with his goal stating that he was delighted to be on target again.

“It feels good to be back on the scoring sheet, praise be to the most high God,” he said.

The former Zanaco striker is in his second season at Portuguese second tier side after a fair debut season that saw him play 12 times with a return of 3 goals.

The 22 year old was injured at the end of last season just when he started to cement his position in the team and his comeback has been slow.

Viseu is currently 15th on the 22 team log.

I previously watched moses phiri at zanaco & i had to count him as one of the promising upcoming strikers with evrything such as speed, dribbling, etc. As at now we want hardworking players to be considered to the national duties so that evn those that are fond of bribing coaches to be given opportunity to showcase their minnor skills will definatly known,

  3. Ngake says:

Excellent player Moses Phiri hopefully he can regain his form after being injury plagued. These are the guys to take over from Mbesuma, kalengo, katongo etc but they have not yet come to the party.

  4. Ngake says:

Mayuka has not been professional in managing his career – looks like we have another Felix Katongo, Fwayo Tembo, clifford mulenga etc story here. Their football talent is beyond doubt and is amazing. These guys could have all played on any level in the football world but just not disciplined enough.

  5. Bsimms says:
