Collins Mbesuma says Zambia is itching to settle scores with Guinea Bissau, in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifiers.
Guinea Bissau ended Zambia’s interest in the 2017 Africa Cup qualifiers last June following a stunning 3-2 home win to qualify to the Gabon finals with a game to spare.
Mbesuma and Christopher Katongo scored a goal each in that match in Bissau, as the hosts recorded their first win over Zambia, in only the two sides second-ever meeting following a 0-0 first leg result in Ndola.
“Looking forward to face them, it’s going to be revenge they spoiled our party,” Mbesuma said.
“The draw is a nice one but, there are no underdogs these days in football each and every team is tough.”
Namibia and Mozambique complete Group K on the road to the Cameroon finals.
Zambia will only play Guinea Bissau in a match-day-three doubleheader late next year during the dates of September 3-11th that will see Chipolopolo at home in the first leg before making a quick trip to Bissau.
Meanwhile, Zambia will kick off their Group K race with a home date, against Mozambique on June 10 and travel to Windhoek in March, 2018 to face Namibia before their two September.
