Mayuka pushing for a move away from Zamalek

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka wants to leave Egyptian side Zamalek after failing down the pecking down.

The 26 year old has not returned to Zamalek and is believed to be Lusaka.

The 2012 African Cup of Nations golden boot winner was left out Zamalek’s CAF Champions League squad and that upset Mayuka’s handlers.

“Zamalek has showed disrespectful to a player of Mayuka’s calibre and quality. They can’t leave him out of their continental squad,” a ZamFoot Crew insider said.

“Mayuka wants to reclaim his national team place and wants to help Zambia push for a World Cup place in Russia as well as AFCON in 2019. And he knows he has to start playing and than sitting on the bench. There are too many politics at Zamalek,” adds the source.

The former Kabwe Warriors ace wants to kickstart his career and there are whispers that he could be heading back to Israel though not with Maccabi Tev Aviv but could be reunited with his 2007 World Youth Cup strike partner Rodger Kola at Hapoel Ra’anana.

Teenage striker Conlyde Luchanga and left back Emmanuel Mbola are also on the books of Ra’anana.

If a move to Israel will not materialise, Mayuka is hoping  a move back to Swiss side Young Boys is possible though the chances are very slim.

There also been talk of a move a to the lucrative Chinese League but that’s also unlikely.

  3. Isreal won’t be a bad choice consdering his current situation at zamalek he was not given enough time I have watch him at zamalek he was playing well in the little time he was given so he should just leave zamalek no zambian player has ever make it in egypt

    • Pink Frog, you’re right about that. Guys like Mayuka, Mweene, and even Sunzu are wasting away on benches at their respective clubs when they are way better than that.

I don’t know how Mayuka even ended up in Egypt. Mayuka would even be better off at TP Mazembe at this point.

  4. This sounds like speculation of the highest kind…”If a move to Israel will not materialise, Mayuka is hoping a move back to Swiss side Young Boys is possible though the chances are very slim.

  5. Mayuka should just come back home where he is respected, otherwise all these nomadic moves will continues to condemn him to the bench. These is nothing wrong with coming back to Zambia and at least claim a place in the national team. That is what I would do if I was in his position.

  6. The issue of foreigners invading the zambian league should be addressed with immediate effect. I heard in the paper that buildcon is conducting trials and they have eighteen foreigners . And eight are already in their books.. Kamanga and your colleages you should protect our local talent

  7. Mayuka Needs Good Advice, It Is Your Talent Play Where You Are Appreciated. Now I Know Why Kalaba Likes It Local . Mayuka Shuld Come At Tp Mazembe Otherwise Listening To Some Of Good For Nothing Critics You Can End Up Nowhere, Who Gave Whites Or Arabs To Set The Grades For Football Anyway.
