MABANGA BOYS THE GIANT SLAYER

The Solwezi based side Kansanshi Dynamos FC are enjoying their start to life in the Super League after winning three of their four opening fixtures of the season, They are sitting pretty on fourth position with 9 points.

Royd Alufonso and Isaac Ngoma are having a season to remember and have been key men for the Mabanga Boys. Isaac Ngoma scored the only goal to shock Power Dynamos in the opening fixture of the season.

The only defeat they have suffered was against Napsa Stars at Woodlands stadium, Simon Nkhata score the lone goal for the Pensioners in the 79th minute. Kansanshi were too good for Napsa Stars even though they lost the match, they dominated much of the proceedings.

Star man Royd Alufonso has hit the ground running, he has already scored twice and one of the goal was at Independence stadium in Solwezi against Green Buffaloes, the Mabanga Boys managed to hold and clinched their second win of the season.

Hitman Royd Alufonso scored 17 goals in 16 appearances for Kansanshi Dynamos in Division One Zone Two including a goal in the Division One playoff against Young Green Eagles.

During week four fixture against Maite Mufurila Wanderers, Royd Alufonso was at it again when he opened the scoring before Norbert Chisala wrapped up matters and that win condemned Maite to their third lose of the season.

The newly promoted side have been so good in their maiden season in the top tier of Zambian football. Expectations, are arising among the fans.

Next on the menu is Kitwe giant Nkana FC, Dynamos will go into this match knowing that they beat Nkana during the pre-season but we know that pre-season is all about experiments and clubs do not take so serious.

But reality is that trouble Nkana who are currently having mixed patch of form need to be on top of their game for them to beat Kansanshi Dynamos. A win will be a site of relief to both the fans and technical bench after losing to Forest Rangers.
