Lumwana Radiants soar to top of league table as LD pick first win
Lumwana Radiants have continued their impressive start to the season and they went top of the league after they drawing 1 – 1 with visiting Konkola Blades.
The Radiants are the only team not to have lost a game yet and their draw today took them to 11 points, one ahead of the chasing pack led by champions Zanaco, Zesco United and Green Eagles who are all on 10 points but separated by goal difference.
Zanaco who will now shift focus to the champions league made scoring look easy when they beat visiting Nakambala Leopards 4 – 1 with goals from Saith Sakala, Felix Nyaende, Kennedy Musonda and Richard Kasonde.
Recalled national team striker Ignatious Lwipa scored the consolation for Nakambala Leopards.
In the early kick off of the day, Lusaka Dynamos recorded their first win of the season when they beat Red Arrows 3 – 1.
Simon Mulenga opened the scores for Dynamos before Red Arrows levelled through substitute Ackim Mumba.
Forceful striker Chris Mugalu came back with two goals to silence the visitors.
