Lumwana Radiants go three points clear in the league

Lumwana Radiants have gone three points clear at the summit of the FAZ Super Division log after they extended their unbeaten run to 6 games with a 1 – 0 away win against Nakambala Leopards.

The Radiants have been the surprise package of the season and they ensured maximum points in Mazabuka through Allan Kapila’s lone goal which came in the first half.

The win took the only team based in Northwestern province in the league to 14 points with second placed Zesco United trailing on 11 points.

There were also wins for Nkana who beat City of Lusaka 1 – 0 to move out of the relegation zone while Buildcon finally picked their first win when they beat Napsa Stars 1 – 0 thanks to Chavda Maisha goal.

Power Dynamos recorded their fifth draw in six games when they were held away by Red Arrows.

Mufulira Wanderers on the other hand picked their very first point of the season when they scored late to grab a point off visiting Kabwe Warriors.

The result will see pressure mount on Kabwe Warriors mentor Chintu Kampamba as he sees his team go six games without a win.
