Luchanga? Patson? or Fashion? Striking decisions for Quicksilver
The Zambia U20 coach Beston Chambeshi will be having a pleasant quandary with his wealth of options up front.
Who will lead the attack lines? Conlyde? Fashion? Patson? That’s the pertinent question he will face for every match. Are the high profile trio going to take automatic places in the final 21 player squad. The strikers to pick from are Patson Daka, Fashion Sakala, Conlyde Luhanga, Joseph Phiri, Obed Masumbuko, Benson Chali, Siame Musonda, Happy Nsofwa and Paul Banda.
From such a large number of Forward options there’s definitely some imminent trimming to be done so there’s perhaps to be some preference to the more ‘established’ names of Sakala, Daka and Luchanga with Sakala and Daka netting 10 and 13 in the super League last year and Luchanga settling in well at Hapoel Raanan who’s attention was sparked after a ground shaking arrival in the Zambian Super League in 2015 when he netted 9 goals.
It could be quite the test to look beyond the trio for a starting pairing.
Further Daka recently completed his move to Austrian club FC Leifering while Sakala has been termed an impressive trialist at Russian premier league side Spartak Moscow ahead of his return to the U20 national team
