Lubinda Mundia moves to Tanzania on loan
RED Arrows and Zambian International forward Lubinda Mundia has finally put pen on paper with the Azam Tanzania premiere league moneybags Singida United on a season long loan deal.
Singida announced the roping of Lubinda, late yesterday–courtesy of their official Facebook page, moments prior to the transfer window in Tanzania getting shut at midnight.
First grapevine in Tabloids was rife that the 26 year old had committed himself for 2 years to the Tanzanian side. However the club repudiated the reports, and instead hinted that 2 players were going to sign contracts with them later on the day.
“I cannot confirm that. There is no one by that name who has joined our club today”, said one official.
“We will sign two players later on but i cannot confirm to you who and who and where are they from”.
Proximity to midnight, yesterday, the same official called to confirm that Lubinda Mundia had finally signed a season long loan deal and is expected to join the rest of the team next week.
“I can confirm we signed Lubinda. He was among the players whom i said were going to join us later on the day.
“He has just joined us on a long season loan and he will be here with the team next week,” he said.
Efforts to get a word from Red Arrows camp and Lubinda Mundia’s representatives were aborted by press time.
This comes as a drawback to Chipolopolo Coach Wedson Nyirenda who had included Mundia in the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) roster set to commence on January 13. As a foreign based player, Mundia is now ineligible to play at CHAN.
