Zambia U20 v Iran – Preview
Zambia Under-20 face Iran on Wednesday morning at 10:00 hours at the on going Korea 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup.
Having picked up wins in the opening group matches, a win for either side will them qualify to the last 16.
The Dream Team dispatched European side Portugal while Iran stunned Costa Rica with a 2-1 and 1-0 win respectively.
In order to achieve qualification, coach Beston ‘Quicksilver’ Chambeshi is likely not to tinker with the side which started against Portugal.
Fit again striker Patson Daka is set to spearhead the attack alongside Conlyde Luchanga though Emmanuel Banda Jnr might get the nod ahead of the Lusaka Dynamos man.
In midfield, it’s time Boyd ‘The Tanker’ Musonda came to the party as he has been below par.
Having been voted as the most valuable player at the Cosafa U20 Cup last year, a lot was expected from the Zanaco midfielder but he is yet to reproduce that form.
Musonda was carried by the team on the road to AFCON success on home soil , and it’s time for the tanker to offload some of the fuel.
While Musonda has been a shadow of himself, Enock ‘Computer’ Mwepu will be the man to watch in midfield after that eye catching performance in the first game.
The back five will pick themselves.
