2018 World Cup Qualifier: Algeria 0-1 Zambia (As it happened)

Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda is gunning for maximum points in the away game against Algeria in Constantine.

Wada has made three changes to the team that beat Algeria 3 – 1 in Lusaka bringing in Enock Mwepu for Chisamba Lungu, Ernest Mbewe for suspended Fashion Sakala and Justin Shonga for Brian Mwila.

A win for Zambia will take the Chipolopolo Boys to 7 points.

Leaders Nigeria have 10 points while Cameroon and Algeria are on 3 and 1 point respectively.

The last time Zambia collected maximum points in North Africa was in 2006 courtesy of Dube Phiri and James Chamanga goals in the 2-0 win over Libya.

    Why Enerst Mbewe, Shonga? When coach has:
    Chisamba, Banda, Rodrick, Ngonga?
    So frustrating.

  2. The ref doesnt seem great. Not sure about the penalty. He didnt blow a simple foul either.

    Jittery half for both sides, hope the boys can come out and show some more confidence on the ball.

  8. Alex Ngonga missed a sure goal. I don’t know how he missed from there. He looks a bit clumsy Alex. Surely that was 2-9 to Zambia. We missing B. Mwila.
