A Lazarus Kambole brace was all that Zesco United needed to emerge victorious over Power Dynamos in the Electric derby as the Ndola based giants continued their dominance over their Kitwe rivals.
It was the visitors who scored first in the 7th minute through former Nkana player Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba. Despite Zesco United’s serach for the equaliser the first half ended with Power leading by a lone goal with Joshua Titima making a number of brilliant acrobatic saves.
In the second half Zega Mambo needed just five minutes to equalise as Lazarous Kambole pulled them level in the 50th minute. Seventeen minutes later Kambole struck again for the home team to take the lead and hold on to win the match two goals to one.
At Edwin Imboela stadium, Goals from Friday Samu and Moonga Chilimba were enough for Green Buffaloes to secure all three points against Choma Green Eagles.
The win takes Buffaloes to 16 points and top of the table.
In Lumwana, It was raining goals as Nkana continued their undefeated streak against Lumwana. Bornwell Mwape opened the scores in the 36th minute to put the twelve time super league champions in the driving seat.
Idris Ilunga Mbombo doubled the lead for Kalampa before Allan Kapila put thee ball in the wrong net to make it three nil and win Nkana all three points.
Napsa stars fought back from two goals down to draw the match two-two. Clifton Miheso and Fahad Bayo put Team Kopala in the lead barely 20 minutes into the match. Simon Nkhata was the pensioners saviour as he scored twice to pull Elijah Chikwanda’s team level.
