Zambian famale referee Gladys Lengwe has been named as one of the fifteen center referees that will officiate at this year’s FIFA women U20 World Cup.
Lengwe and Abebe Lidya Tafesse of Ethiopia are the only two centre referees from Africa with four assistant referees from Africa also named on the final list.
The tournament will be held in France between 5th and 24th of August with Nigeria and Ghana representing the continent of Africa.
UEFA has the biggest number of center referees, Five followed by AFC with three while COMNEBOL, CONCACAF and OFC have two each.
