LEAKED!! Could this be Zambia v Namibia starting XI as Mwepu is earmarked to partner AFCON legend

In what appears to be a leaked Chipolopolo starting XI, coach Sven Vandenbroeck is primed to start four African Cup of Nations winners against Namibia.

The returning TP Mazembe Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala are set to join Stoppila Sunzu and Kennedy Mweene in the starting line-up.

Israel based left back Emmanuel Mbola who missed out on AFCON medal as he was suspended by FIFA is due to reclaim his position in the team.

Completing the back four will be Isaac Shamujompa and Kabaso Chongo.

With Augustine Mulenga still battling for fitness, Fashion Sakala has been earmarked to start on the left wing as Kalaba might be pushed on right.

Joining Fashion in the starting line up from the Dream Team are Austria based duo Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka.

South African based Justin Shonga is set to partner Daka upfront.

The returning Lubambo Musonda, Salulani Phiri and red hot striker Lazarous Kambole have been earmarked as possible substitutions.

Will Vandenbroeck go for a 4-4-2 formation?g

    Kambole in place of Shonga

  2. Ngake says:

I can bet money this was definitely written by a soccer fan and not anyone on the technical team:
    1. Author does not know who his captain is.
    2. Rainford does not play on the wings anymore due to lack of speed. Plays more central in the position where J Shonga is seen.
    3. Kabaso Chongo plays in central defense, not as a left back/wing back.

Since the fan made his team i can as well make mine:
    Formation 4 3 3
Defense – Mbola, Sunzu, Chongo, Sakala
    Midfield – N Sinkala, E Mwepu, and R Kalaba
    Attack – A Mulenga, P Daka, and F Sakala
subs – L Kambole, L Musonda and J Shonga for any of the forward players, S Phiri for Midfield, Defense sub – I Shamujompa. Let’s face it, this team is stacked with some superb players. if the coach can get the team to gel we can beat Namibia with any selection of players in that squad.

Defence – Central Billy Mutale and Sunzu/Ziyo Tembo – left back, Mbola – right, Sautu. Midfield – Sinkala, Kalaba, Emanuel Banda, Mwepu. Front P. Daka, Shonga. Very aggressive 4-4-2. Good on the eye too. Subs Fashion Sakala, Kambole, Kabaso, Shamujompa and the other guys.

What leaked we all can make a line up like this just that August Mulenga is injured he could have been there . for me I prefer Lazarus Kambole then Shonga Bench!

  5. Anonymous says:

I Will prefer kambole for shonga kambole is more clinical and pace. He should start the game

The team needs to be strengthened at the back. The coach should call up another defender. Donnashona malama and ziyo tembo should be called up. Coaches should not create unnessary crisis. Justin shonga should start. He is in terrific form. 1. Mweene 2.kabaso 3.mbola 4samunjompa 5sunzu 6 sinkala 7shonga 8 mwepu 9daka 10 captain kalaba 11 fashon

    • Julio says:

I disagree on Ziyo and Malama. The two are yet to play competitive football as their leagues are yet to kickoff . Going by current foam, these call-ups are sufficient. The two could be considered for future engagements.

  8. GODFREY MUNALULA says:

Any selected team from this squad will beat Namibia FULL STOP. THIS IS A VERY GOOD TEAM

  9. GSK11 says:

    Nice analysis Ngake.
Defence is where the problem is… no one can play the ball out of defence.
Bring back Isaac Chansa- can turn defence into attack.

  10. Mwalife says:

I thought that you will let Zambia have a moment of suprise under a new coach in this crucial game. FAZ is sick. Who is leaking the team information?

  11. Lukanga Kafusha Justice says:

As true soccer fans and supporters of the KK11, at times we should learn to ignore some of these publications. I will have to wait and hear it from the horse´s mouth. Rumours are by gones

    Thanks

These leakages are killing our good game of football in this country. It is barely a week ago when the coach complained about information leaking before it is brought out into public domain at FAZ house. One wonders what really has gone wrong in this country….Do we even realize what implications this has on our game plan? We are simply giving our opponents an edge over us because they would have known what to expect and who is to play and thus study videos of such mentioned players. We need to be very careful especially with modern technology because access to internet has really made access to information very easy nowadays.Let us leave everything to our coach. It is like a lecturer giving his own student(opponent) exam questions or at least what to expect in an exam.

On a more serious note Zambia is struggles at defense. But Sven as called the Best based on performance. The is also good because it will confuse the Namibian Camp.We all Known this is not the Final formation. You can’t compare Malama to Sinkala who plays in the CAF CL regularly, please lets be serious and stop these fake leaks.

It’s time to relaunch the Copper bullets. I think we should be going after them from first whistle. That’s why selection should be futuristic in my view.

  16. Dr. Society says:

Why the rush? In politics, we call it unpatriotic! If you have seen one why leak it? You want the opponent to know who to start too?

  17. Wabola says:

Charly Musonda Jnr has just thrown away an opportunity to trully shine on the international stage. Stubborness and pride to want to play for Belgium instead of Zambia has stang him and his stupid family in the back. Hos slowly going past his chance woth Belgiun. The have an embarrasment of talent and dont see this young man holding a position in this Belgiun team. I salute players with a true heart for there connections. Zaha born England plays for Ivory Coast..Iwobi born England plays for Nigeria….Boateng born in Germany plays for Ghana…Mahrez born in France plays for Algeria..Ayew brothers born in France play for Ghana……Swallow you pride Charly junior and just come play for Zambia.

  18. Let’s wait and see. This will see Zambia to carry the day.it will be an open game.our football is attacking style of play.we should utilize our chances.Go Chipolopololo Go
