Zambia international midfielder Chisamba Lungu on Monday evening helped his Russian team to a fourth straight win in all competitions when he netted the second goal in their 2 – 0 win over Orenburg.
Chisamba who has enjoyed good form this season and has been a constant feature in his team started the match and completed the 90 minutes.
Ural opened the scores in the 26th minute through Iljin who headed home from a set piece.
Ural were on the back foot for long periods of the game with Chisamba helping out in defense.
The visitors were sensing an equalizer and were pouring forward in numbers towards the end and Chisamba found space on the left to set up his striker on a counter attack but the Orenburg keeper did well to keep the initial shot out.
The former Zanaco midfielder was on hand to pounce on the rebound and head home the goal which sealed the game on 90 minutes.
Ural who had a deep in form midway through the current season are on a good run of results having won three back to back games in the league which has seen them rise to 11th position.
The 26 year old Ural captain has started all of his club’s 22 league games scoring three times.
Elsewhere in Russia Stopilla Sunzu was on the losing end when Arsenal Tula went down 3 – 1 to Terek Grozny.
The towering defender however earned the penalty for his team which they scored for their only goal of the match.
It was a tough day at the office for the Chipolopolo strong as he saw his team continue to hover just above the relegation zone.
Strong performance from Chisa. No doubt scouts will be watching. Keep up the good foam.
how weak is this league?
It is a strong league with consistent champions league presence.
hard work and determination
I like that seriousness and intensity on his face. Tranfer that to National team and Zambia wouldn’t be the lowest ranked team in Africa. The U-20 are really serious when they are playing.
congratulations chisamba
