Krmpotic still in charge
LIVINGSTONE–The Serbian coach, Zlatko Krmpotic is still in charge of calling the shots at Zesco United, an insider has exclusively revealed.
This highly placed source told zambianfootball.co.zm that there was nothing cooking behind the Serb’s absence on the touchline during Zesco United matches, apart from security reasons.
Krmpotic was a target for lynching by Team Ya Ziko fans, hence the club and the police resolved that he should be operating from behind the scenes.
“Nothing new other than the statement club released regarding the fact that it’s security reason.
“You know he had issues with the fans and his security became police issue so nothing more.
“It’s his security that the club I believe have done what they’ve done, he’s around,” said the source.
The Zesco United honcho has been missing on the touchline and his assistant, Tenant Chembo has been seen issuing out instructions, in the previous matches. This has stirred a lot of speculations.
Some reports have indicated that Krmpotic was out negotiating his move outside the country–while others attribute his absence to the looming axe.
