Kalusha Bwalya should retire – Mamadou Gaye

Controversial African football expert Mamadou Gaye, also known as the Assassin of Abidjan has advised Zambian football icon Kalusha Bwalya to retire from football adminstration following his FIFA ban in all the game’s related activities.
The Côte d’Ivoire football commentator of longstanding and CAF media expert was speaking when he featured on South Africa’s Metro FM program with Ace Sports presenter Robert Marawa.
He was narrating his ordeal at the CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt on Sunday – where he was excommunicated and denied accreditation for excoriating the Africa’s football governing body under the auspices of president Ahmad Ahmad.
Asked about what the future holds for the 1988 African footballer of the year, Mamadou Gaye said his reputation had been soiled and that the only honorable thing to do was to retire.
“When your reputation is damaged in that way. When you are affected in that way, of course the honorable thing to do is to just retire from football,” he said.
“Because if you come back that thing will always come to haunt you. And your rival or your enemies will always use it against you.”
The Soccer Africa Analyst put to light as to why the Confederation of Southern Africa Football Association (Cosafa) wants Kalusha Bwalya’s CAF Executive Committee member seat replaced. He says, King Kalu was supposed to appeal his ban under the given one month.
“Kalusha did not appeal, because to appeal you are given one month. And not only one month, but you have to pay almost hundred thousand swiss franc. If you lose that money don’t come back to you.”
“And this thing didn’t happen overnight. Kalusha went so many times to FIFA for interrogations. I mean it was a long process that took almost 2 years.”
Mamadou Gaye and Kalusha Bwalya’s strained relationship goes way back to 2013 when the former accused the latter of being a blue-eyed boy of former CAF president Issa Hayatou while on Soccer Africa set.
Mamadou alleged that Kalusha’s closeness to Hayatou had earned the Chipolopolo some favours from referees.
At the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, Zambia were gifted a controversial penalty in a Group C fixture against Nigeria which levelled scores 1-all apiece, with goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene stepping up to expertly convert the spot-kick and snatch a point for the team five minutes from full time.
He was later reported to have been suspended by Supersport International following a complaint by then [but now former] FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya.

Zambia will be playing next Wednesday. Can we start looking at something progressive instead of dwelling on issues that have been discussed and exhausted ages ago.
That’s a powerful strike @Kasama.
Kalusha can’t do anything else in life and he is broke. maybe joining PF and Edgar Lungu. birds of the same feather!
Oh yes very broke indeed and he should just concentrate
on ball juggling with his corrupt pf allies at rallies.
Can’t he try his hand(or leg) at football player agency? There is money to be made. Would this constitute indulging in football activities.
To register as a soccer agent you need $200000 registration fee and I don’t this guy having that kind of money.
leave the great alone!
