Zambia Under 20 AFCON winning winger Kenneth Kalunga has left for Portugal to finalise his move to Sporting de Esmoriz.
Kalunga who previously played in Europe at Danish lower tier side Ikast FC left the country at 16:00hrs.
The former Gomez player is very happy to be moving to Portugal where he is expected to seal a deal at the Portuguese lower league side.
“It feels good of course. A new challenge is always good,” Kalunga told zambianfootball.co.zm in an exclusive interview shortly before departure for Portugal.
Esmoriz is no stranger to Zambian Football followers as Belgian based KV Oostende midfielder Emmanuel Banda who is currently with the national team started his European career their.
The 20 year old will join fellow countryman Martin Chibambo at the Portuguese out-fit.
The talented winger has very high hopes and has listed helping Esmoriz to win the league as one of his objectives.
“I want to help the team win the league and gain promotion to the next league,” Kalunga said.
