Kalunga already making his mark in Portugal

Zambian winger Kenneth Kalunga has taken no time to settle and impose himself at his Portuguese out-fit Sporting clube de Esmoriz. The former Ikast player opened his goal account yesterday when he scored the only goal of the game as Esmoriz brushed off AA Avanca.

Kalunga has already made four assists, Meaning he has been involved in five goals for his club in the five games he has played.

Kalunga was one of the fringe players in Coach Beston Chambeshi’s all conquering U20 squad that won the 2016 COSAFA U20 Championships and the 2017 U20 AFCON tournament.

Despite being one of the best performers at the COSAFA tournament, Kalunga found it hard to break into the starting line-up at the U20 AFCON tournament but when ever he was given a chance he made sure he gave his all.

The talented signed a three year deal barely a month ago and he seems to be staying true to his word of helping Esmoriz win the league.

“I want to help the team win the league and gain promotion to the next league,” Kalunga told Zambianfootball.co.zm prior to his derpature for Portugal
